Hope

This project was part of a community Easter event I was involved with, put on by Mt Mosaic.┬áIt involved numerous packets of coloured chalk, a few sheets of plywood and a couple of litres of chalkboard paint. Constructed as a free standing wall it was installed at an Easter in the park event along with dozens of kids carnival rides, face painting, free hot cross buns, coffee and bacon and eggs. The wall was initially black with the phrase “To plant a garden is to have hope in tomorrow. What do you hope hope tomorrow will bring?” written through the middle. The idea was for people to interact, leaving their thoughts/hopes written in chalk. It kinda worked. Perhaps next year I’ll make it twice the size.chalk1 chalk2 chalk3 chalk4
